Bodie Ghost Town
Follow the grain in your own wood.
-Howard Thurman
Bodie is a turn-of-the-last-century mining town in Eastern California, not far from Mono Lake. It's a popular tourist destination, and a photographer's mecca.
It is frequently the coldest place in California in the winter (the coldest place with a weather station, that is).
Like a flag.
The old screens and stripes.
Old fuel and food
cans were recycled for siding
The irony of the
electrical cord holding up the oil lamp.
A self-portrait,
of a sort.
